Aransas Pass
For most vacationers, Aransas Pass is synonymous with some of the best fishing on the Texas Gulf Coast. Port Aransas
The free ferry that connects to Port Aransas is only five minutes away from our house. Port Aransas is a haven for fishermen with its wharfs, bay fishing and deep-sea excursions. In addition, Port Aransas is home to Mustang Island State Park, which offers a long stretch of unspoiled and protected beach, perfect for building sandcastles and flying kites. Rockport
For those who are looking for a family-friendly beach, Rockport is less than a 10-minute drive away. All of the amenities, like the well-maintained bathhouse with public showers and restrooms, snack bar, picnic tables, playground and more, make this often un-crowded beach a great place to bring the kids. If the ideal vacation for you means access to a bigger city while avoiding the crowd and cost of staying there, our home is perfect for you. Twenty minutes in the car and you are at the heart of Corpus Christi where you can find a larger selection of restaurants, shopping and activities. While you’re there, make sure you check out the Texas State Aquarium, visit the Padre Island National Seashore and tour the historic USS Lexington.
